Scott Long Episode Information

Sometimes it pays to be funny. Scott Long, comedian and public speaker, learned a long time ago that comedy was his passion.

A comedian is, by the very nature of the job, an entrepreneur. He only gets paid when he finds a gig. He is the ultimate one man show.

Scott made some waves on the standup trail, became a regional success and would find marginal successes outside of his home region. As non comedians jumped into the space; however, it began to make life difficult on the road.

What happens when your gigs dry up? Like so many entrepreneurs, the path we often find ourselves on at one point in business life shifts to accommodate changing markets and outside influences.

In this case, Scott Long shifted from comedy that was a little blue, to a more corporate cultured style.
